TOJIL is a non-profit organization dedicated to combating corruption and impunity through strategic litigation, investigations, and collaboration with authorities to develop public policies. Our goal is to ensure citizens’ rights to a corruption-free environment and access to justice.

What do we do?

We investigate high-impact corruption cases in Mexico and present our findings so they can be pursued by authorities and monitored by citizens.

We select key cases and design legal strategies to establish judicial precedents that reduce impunity and fight corruption.

Victims of corruption
We will keep fighting for all of us to be recognized as victims of corruption.
What does recognition as victims mean?
Our litigation in the Inter-American Human Rights System could have a positive impact on the fight against corruption in Mexico and Latin America. If it is accepted and resolved favorably, this precedent could require national authorities to recognize all of society as victims of corruption and enable them to directly intervene in criminal processes to ensure due process.
